The second old haunt of the day
The George on Great Portland Street.
Four real ales available. I am trying the Goodwill bitter by O'Hanlon's in Devon. A nice rich 5% Christmas tipple.
Today I managed to revisit one of my old haunts, The Cock on Great Portland Street, just round the corner from Oxford Circus in London.
As it is a Samuel Smiths pub a wheat beer was in order.
Some of the single malts enjoyed at the Whiskeython at the Glue Pot, Swindon for my birthday this year. Bunnahabhain, Laphroaig, Jura, Aberlour and Tobermory.
I managed (after 4-5 missed gigs) to go and see Piston Groovy back at the end of November at the Rivermill in Eaton Socon, St Neots. Whilst space is a bit tight in there for a live band, the gig was grea and with the exception of an elderly gentleman who had to walk right past the speakers to get out, mouthing FFS with fingers in his ears; everyone rocked out!
